Do yourself a favour and watch him, he is very special, so special , that anyone writing Barca off are fools.

This kid is the real deal, I just hope he is not affected by a very serious knee injury.

All clubs are suffering financially, including our own, we are incredibly lucky to have the owner we do, but we still lost 100m last year.

Barca are a huge club, with huge debts but just the same as the rags over the road, they generate huge income, and as long as the debt is serviceable they will be fine.

Barca need to rebuild on and off the pitch, they will, it may well take time but there is no doubt they will be back.

Messi's time is coming to it's end but Barca will continue.

If serviceable is a big if

And back after how long ? And at what level ? Not saying they will end up as small fry but could easily see one of the elite clubs become more like a one of the non top 4 Prem teams ie big revenue good ground good fan base but not actually achieving anything Barcelona are perhaps the most likely candidate or we could see an elite team end up like those in Italy where the league and clubs are massive historically but just not as attractive at a specific point in time again Barcelona are perhaps the most likely candidates as they are so indebted and badly managed in terms of players and wages and it would seem more is yet to come out

Set to have his 3rd operation on the same knee injury, doesn't sound good for the kid.
Hopefully he'll make a full recovery and get back to playing again...............then join City
Yea, 3 ops at that age is serious, it will be a tragedy if he is not the same player because he looked very, very special.

They turnover 900m pounds, that's a lot of money and a lot of leverage.

They are and always will be an attractive club to play for.

Our greatest weakness is our location and climate, for a lot of players it's a huge factor, Mbappe is a prime example and it's looks like it's an issue that has got to Bernardo.

At this time we are a far greater team to play for, especially under this manager, but as a club, we still have a long way to go.

From what I have read previously, Messi accounts for around 25 per cent of that turnover?

That makes Barca very vulnerable to the future.

Their whole business for the last 12 years is predicated on a successful team with Messi at the heart of it.

Less so in normal times as players are only a couple of hours on a private jet to where they want to be.

They’ve been cooped up at home and if living in a city centre apartment, that would have been extremely tedious for anyone.

To be fair I'm not sure how valid that study is, it was created by one of the presidential candidates trying to win Messi's support.

As big a commercial and tourist draw as he is, bringing in 250m euros seems a bit farfetched. The whole clubs commercial revenue (not including TV) is 325m which would mean they're operating on about the level of Everton without Messi.

We hear a lot about Messi in what he generates for Barca, time will tell, I get the feeling the figures are not true, he seems to have taken enormous sums out of the club, not saying he is not entitled to them but he and his father have done very, very well out of Barcelona.

Barca were a huge club before Messi and they will be after, their debt is looking horrendous but it will be serviced.

The problem is one of direction, even under Laporta, they are making strange decisions, signing Aguero, Depay and probably resiginng Messi, yet still having Braithwaite and Greizman, how many strikers are they going to play each week?

Agreed but even in normal times it is extremely difficult.

When the rags were at their highest, the biggest issue in attracting players was location and weather.
