I suspect that the players are in high spirits and are feeling confident. The squad has grown together and developed another season.

The mood of the fans is less confident. Some fans are starting to believe that the Rags and Chelsea are unstoppable. The media have started the propaganda already. It's a two horse race.....the knives will be out for Mancini etc.

The slate is clean, we have a squad that is capable of winning the league. The Rags are weaker but Chelsea and the Dippers are in the mix.

great points.

Let's not forget that the biggest story in football over the next few months would be "City sack Mancini....Carnage at the Etihad"

Our beloved media (written and broadcast) will be writing all sorts of utter shite in the coming weeks and months in order to try and make this happen, including I reckon, trawling through sites like this to try and spin another "city fans turn on Mancini/Ballotelli/Whomever they decide the latest whipping boy should be" type story.

for all of our differences on this forum, we ARE still all blues (well apart from the odd Rag f**kwit or two) and whilst the media's whipping boy(s) are employed by City (and not slagging the club off in said media) we should try our hardest to stick with them.

Good night blues

Top three finish, good run in CL, reach a final or two; win a trophy.

Raise club profile, bring in more TV money; earn a crust for Etihad et al.

For the next four seasons ... with a PL title or two in there. Being in CL every season is imperative.

Then we can consolidate and continue building as the debt continues to kick in everywhere else. Banging timing Sheikh. Ten year plan after that ... rags should be in League One by then.

*who cares about the media, they are only doing their job - talking! About what sells to the numpty majority.*

I suspect that a good half dozen hacks and hackettes have this story already written and saved on their hard drives. And the likes of Hansen, Merson et al will no doubt claim prescience were this ludicrously improbable scenario ever to get a foothold of 0.000001% sure bet.

I reckon if we don't lose or draw any games this season we will have a good chance of winning the league
