Nil by mouth was fucking brutally realistic. You never really get true dialogue in a film but thats as close as it gets. The violence was very disturbing.Surprised no one's mentioned Raining Stones

Thank you Lionel BlairIt’s a play.
What a film to put on for a plane. Better than showing Alive though I suppose or Final destinationI watched that on a plane fuck me it didn’t get my holiday off to a good start, utterly depressing film and like you say nothing has changed.
Watched the elephant man when I was about 14, couldn't get it out of my head for weeks....and then he made Elephant Man! Wonderful films but slightly disturbing and get into yer head! His films always are, the twat!
Elephant Man what a film, I am John Merrick very pleased to meet you and I am not an animal, have always stuck with me and I saw that as a teenager. Heartbreaking and beautiful film....and then he made Elephant Man! Wonderful films but slightly disturbing and get into yer head! His films always are, the twat!
Those two might be depressing in their message but I love them both and would watch them time after time. Gripping, exciting stuff. The Parallax View
Deliverance is relentlessly downbeat and no happy ending
So is 2024.. Living the dream!1984 is pretty fucking depressing.
I, Daniel Blake - even more depressing it documents peoples lives up to 2016 and nothing has changed 8 years later and the current rhetoric looks like it will extend it - makes Kes look like a fun musical
Just watched it.Just been on tonight…
