To all blues out there just to let you know that the Mother of
Donald Micky & chris francis passed away this morning,01/02/13
God rest her soul
She was a strong women must of been to put up with them three
She was a real coolcat & was The guvnor of them all
She fought to the end just like her boys
She was a legend in her own right just like her boys
Rip Mrs Francis the mother of real true blue legends

Donald was my neighbour in Openshaw for a short while. Went on his coaches from store street too in the old days.

The Cool Cats were just that. Not condoning the criminality [as a lawyer, like], but they are part of our history. Never forgot the North Circular for the Full Members with Donald leaning out of the side door of his coach, swinging on the pole, telling us [as we pushed my broken down car] that we were 'the Pride of Manchester'. Probably my greatest ever City-related accolade. Weird but true.
