You've done it now, jim will have you.
Ha was just thinking that
You've done it now, jim will have you.
I think this thread is focusing on the wrong angle. Undoubtedly Celtic can create an incredible atmosphere (witnessed by most of us when we met in September). What a few posters on here are saying is that it's inconsistent. Perhaps, un-loyal. I think if you're comparing noise - you piss all over us. If you want to talk about attendances, consistently being high through thin and thinner we piss all over you.Not really Harold, fans see a lot of empty seats on Sky Sports with their own eyes, I seen quite a few thousand with my own eyes on Tuesday too and that didn't include the 2-3k Celtic fans scattered in the home stands.
Okay not representative due to it being a nothing game i suppose but for us it was a Battle of Britain fixture.
Jimharri, i don't really have an English favourite personally. Don't like the London clubs, don't like the Midlands clubs, don't like Liverpool. Both Manchester clubs, Everton and Newcastle I would say but really no preference. Would love to see Leeds make it back to the big time but unlikely.
I'll leave you in peace now. (I promise) Celtic is old news now.
Good luck against the English champions at the weekend ;)
Ha was just thinking that
Celtic also hold both League and European attendance records.
146k vs Aberdeen.
136k vs Leeds United.
Celtic were the first British team to win the European cup. Manchester City have never won it.
Celtic have a total of 334 European games. (186 in the Champions League/ European Cup)
Manchester City have a total of 115 European games (45 in the Champions League / European Cup)
Celtic are a bigger club than Manchester City, only Manchester United and Liverpool are bigger clubs in the UK. You're delusional if you base how big a club is on its current financial affairs, Stoke and Burnley would be bigger than Ajax, PSV and Dortmund if that were case.
Man City are a franchise, injected with cash by billionaires and television money, that's what us Scots hate about the English, arrogance. Infact, that's what the world hates about the English.
Some English fans tell us that we are Championship at best, Celtic should have won both games against, ahead 4 times, pegged back 4 times. Full strength and against the team you fielded last night. (Celtic were without 3 of their top 11 too, Sinclair, Tierney and Toure) When I look at the Premiership, there are at least 10 out of the 20 teams that are bang average small clubs.
West Brom
Stoke
Bournemouth
Watford
Crystal Palace
Burnley
Leicester
Hull
Swansea
Middlesbrough.
You can add to that, Sunderland/Southampton and West Ham too. But yet Celtic are supposedly behind all this lot and Championship level?
There are 7 good teams in the 20 and Man City and Chelsea were bought. The genuine 5 are Man United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Everton.
If Celtic ever come to the Premiership and were injected with the associated revenues, they would have to build a new stadium to 80k+ to accommodate their fans.
Eh? I never asked you if you had a favourite English team.Jimharri, i don't really have an English favourite personally.
Okay, I think this thread has gone far enough now. Is there a mod in the house?Would love to see Leeds make it back to the big time but unlikely.
How many times have you promised that now?I'll leave you in peace now. (I promise)
Nothing is wrong with English football? What happened with Iceland then?
For the 'best league' in the world, surely the national side should be the best in the world too? If not why not?
