the myth of celtic and their incredible support?

Again I'll make the point that City are more of a regional club then Celtic, historically the vast majority of City fans have all lived or worked in Manchester, it's not rocket science. Who cares about shirt sales and what not when based on actual footballing achivements City are some way off Celtic, multiple European Finals, knocked out in two semi finals, a handful of QF's. It will take City some time to match that...

Ban Jami, stick what up my arse? 4m worldwide fans? I'm pretty sure the figures for Celtic at the same time were 9m

Each to their own though if it really bothers you that much.

Tell me though, why are there hundreds of threads on this forum about poor atmospheres at the Etihad? What are your fans doing wrong to generate virtually no noise at your games?

Do you need safe standing? Do you need a green brigade type section? Do you need a new songbook? Do you just need normal working class fans back in the ground?

Couldn't give a fuck about worldwide support its mostly bollocks when clubs claim worldwide support as the vast majority have never visited the country, let alone the stadium. Read the rest of it you dick.

Hundreds of threads where? There's an ongoing one in our fan page on how we can improve it and it's very old and ongoing on a game by game basis. Most clubs have similar.

I've been to Parkhead for a league match against Dundee and it was a third empty and virtually no noise apart from the cheers for goals. What were you doing wrong then?

Yes we do need safe standing, yes we do need a green brigade section and no we already are working class fans still. But you have all the above yet still can't sell out most league games and are quiet as fuck unless it's rangers or Europe.

Ban Jami, not quite true. Celtic are averaging 55k+ this season against the likes of Hearts, Kilmarnock and Dundee etc not just in Europe or against Rangers. Just look at the last 25yrs please, Celtic way out on top by hundreds of thousands actually.

Ban Jani, not this season you haven't. I think you're telling porkies as the Green Brigade do not stop for the 90mins so no idea how it could possibly have been quiet or a third empty with an average of nearly 56k so far this season for home league games.

Is that the best insult you have? Go eat a battered chocolate bar? Scraping the barrel with that, how original.

If you look back at the history of attendances, a lot of years they were close but they do not take into account European figures when Celtic were attracting 100k+ so your point is mute. Look at the figures over the last 20yrs, Celtic have a far higher average. I can't really be arsed adding all the figures up and doing the maths but you're more than welcome too if it's really that important.

So you only want to compare attendances over the last 20 years?

But you're quite happy to bang on about your European Cup victory, which was nearly FIFTY years ago.

Hypocrite!

Why do you think we're expanding the stadium again? Ours is selling out every week in the league and will continue to do so.

The last 5/6 years tells a different story so it's not the last 25 years is it?

Look at it in its entirety. We've had brief moments of glory over our 130 year history and still always been near the top of attendances despite entire generations seeing nothing but agony. You've always been at the top in your country and in Europe due to no one else competing from your shite league and yet for most of your history managed the attendances of Huddersfield Town. You've only been big since the Sky era you all so famously oppose!
