Relax blues. As reward for our stoicism in the face of difficult times we can now watch as things get back to how they should be, it's all in the natural flow. It will begin with a nervous win against Hull and continue with an easier than expected win at Blackburn before clicking into place with a march up the table in the new year ( and a disappointing quarter final exit to a mediocre premiership side in the cup) and we'll finish jut outside the european places.

And by the same token Stoke and Wigan and the other team that came up will settle into their rightful places in the bottom three.

You might just be right ...... it would be typical of City to run into form just before the eagerly awaited transfer window opens , and throw Mark Hughes mind into turmoil over new players!

But if we do manage to win two matches on the trot , as you're suggestin' we might with Hull and Blackburn , it'll probably shock the players , as much as it will the supporters!

Not Stoke and Wigan, please. Wigan, Blackburn and Bolton.
