I presume I sound a bit like a boring fart...I am 38 now and at that point in life where I becoming aware that I am getting old!

Yep - I'm on there for a number of reasons. There was a girl in the office who uses Facebook and has all these friends etc etc...so I joined to try and get more friends than her - I failed!!! I actually use it as a way to stay in contact with friends some of whom I haven't seen for a long time etc...I managed to track down a pal in New Zealand who I had lost contact with.
