...I got a bigger buzz going to the old one! I wasn't going to Maine Road long, I was 15 when we moved to CoMS so i'm not as nostalgic about it as a lot on here are who were going there for decades but I definitely preferred it.

There was something exciting about walking through the streets and then the stadium appearing betwen the houses as you got closer and being able to hear the crowd as you got closer and closer to it. Now when you go to the stadium it has an almost clinical feel to it, everything is new and better but it doesn't quite have that feel to it that Maine Road had.

Obviously the atmosphere was much better at Maine Road and there were the little things like whenever my dad used to park outside there you get a kid on a bike come up and say 'mind your car mate' which you always felt was more of a threat than a service!

Anyway...its in the past, we've moved on lets hope over the years that CoMS builds up some of the same history and feelings towards it!

I don't think any stadium has the same atmosphere now thet they are all-seater.

Even Maine Road lost something of its atmosphere when the old Kippax was demolished.

It's just not so easy to create a good atmosphere when everybody is sitting down.

I really miss walking down "dog shit alley"
There were more shades of shit down there than colours in the rainbow

Only time will tell for me,but i think the maine bug bear for me is not having our own end.Maybe when we have had a bit of success there then things might change, until then im not a fan of it one bit.

I stood in some dog muck yesterday, I hated it and it smelt awful... But today I remember the smell and it brings a smile to my face, oooh the memories.
