..anybody seen it? Its Venables talking about his favourite goal over an arty clip of said goal, looks like a painting. Just so happens this goal is a overhead kick against us and by a certain shrek like player. Surely using a goal by the most hated team in the country isnt going to get people rushing to buy your newspaper???

Most hated/Most supported

Might be the most hated but the amount of gloryseeking ceefax reds out there shows That gutterpress has a readerbase.

Same with Sly, always see slysports adverts with rooney on them

Broken record I know but that "shinned" overhead kick by shrek is well over rated. If you want a proper a scissor kick look no further than Trev Sinclair or John Guidetti.

Sun readers have an average mental age of about 5, so they will most likely lap it up.

Like someone else said though, he shinned it.

I am so glad that someone else agrees he shinned it. I have been having this argument with the rags at work (well the over 30's who have never been to Trafford) and they disagree but then why should I listen to them.

Just booked my Swansea tickets and can't wait til it all starts, pretending to the missus that the kids are excited but its really me thats the giddy one

I couldn't give a shit what the sun do they are a crap paper and are part of a disgusting News International company.

Don't flatter them they have the mental age of a two year old and that would be unfair on the two year old...

but to be fair although we all hate that fat ginger baldy twat it was a one in a million finish!!! if that would have happened against any other team we would have been raving about it!! he wouldnt ever do that again but jesus it was some strike!!

It was a 1 in 1,000,000 strike. If he'd have hit it properly instead of shinning it, it would still be flying across Salford Quays right now.

dont be bitter ...... regardless that it was scored by Shrek for the Rag's against us .... it was still a stunning goal. thats the point.

Nani's goal was better tbh. That's without any blue specs on, better build up play, pace etc. Rooney's was a deflected cross, and a shinned, lucky goal.

now that's just not true is it?

The Rags sell papers. They may be the most hated by other football fans, but for neutrals they are probably a favourite. Also, they will sell plenty of copy overseas via their website.

In my eyes, yes. Maybe it's because I prefer a team goal to a lucky hit.

Example, I prefer our goals against Liverpool and Fulham to hits like Tevez against Stoke.
