Just a quick thought and really to see what everyone else thinks. Alot of people mainly press and pundits think that the next 2 games will gauge how far we have come and whether we are equipped to break the top four.

I however disagree the scum last year did nothing against the top four yet won the league, everton never beat any of the top four yet are always there or thereabouts round the top 6. In my opinion in the grand scheme of things i dont think its whether you win the marquee games as much as whether you dispatch a stoke at home or a burnley away that will gauge your overall success and i for one think for once we are better equipped than ever to do that.

Now i know alot of people will disagree and thats fair point i guess its just a premptive strike for when this place and the press go mental should we fail to take six points from our next to games

The next two games SSN and the rest of the slavering gobshite media will no doubt jump up with glee if we concede a goal or two and snatch but a point. It may well be a defining moment in the first half of the season, but you do not need to extract points from the OldTopFour in order to establish yourself in the top six. You simply have to beat the crap out of the ones chasing from behind, something we didn't do last season with any regularity. Had we taken single points off the piss-poor teams who were fighting over relegation, particularly on the road, we would easily have secured a Europa League place, which seems to be the target for this year.
