The NHS and its future

Not really. Calling people Nazis when all they’re suggesting is that some people should take a level of responsibility for their own health hardly seems to be particularly well thought out opinion.
Maybe this is why this country is in such a state to many people willing to make excuses for others and those others taking no responsibility for their lives. As for cancer patients these are usually diseases that people are getting through no fault of their own which is what the nhs was setup for not for the junk eating pisspot in the corner.

Your issue is the junk eating pisspot is paying taxes on his junk and booze the same way the 60 a day smoker does, taxes that help pay for the NHS.

Like it or not, they have every right to treatment just as we all do and if the government is so hell bent on healthy citizens then then should do the right thing and ban booze, fags and junk food but they won't because it makes them too much money.

There will always be a need for a degree of rationing within any universal system, but that's why we have politicians (useless though they are) and health boards who make decisions on which drugs/equipment should be used by the NHS for patient care, based on financial cost and health benefits etc.

Otherwise it would be down to a free for all as to what should and shouldn't be provided on the NHS.
Personally I would ban the use of chemotherapy drugs and radiotherapy for treating cancer patients, they are incredibly expensive and seem to harm far more patients than help them. But that's my personal opinion. Just as your opinions are yours. It would all come to people's own biases/perceptions.

haha absolutely priceless post that. From moral high ground to oh deary me within a page.

Mate growing up we all drink and eat MCDs but then we grow up and take responsibility because we know it’s bad, these fuckers don’t and there’s more of them that rinse the system and there’s lots who drink eat junk food and smoke who don’t pay taxes and there’s shit loads of them.

To be fair they’re paying plenty of tax on their fags, booze and maccys.

I think it was the daily politics show earlier that shows how the politicians and let’s face it us as well don’t have the answers. May has blabbed on about the 20 billion evading where it’s coming from(brexit savings but we need to give them 40 billion etc, tax? Borrowing?) labour bloke pops up says it not enough. But it is more than you were going to put in. Err whoops yeah but we will inherit the spending plans and put more in. So basically the policy is to put in a bit more than the Tories and the amount isn’t dependant on need just as long as it’s more than them.

Isnt the real figure of debt £4 billion not £1 billion that they claim set to rise for the nhs anyway, so a lot of this money will be swallowed up paying that off.
