The positive and sensible thread

I've just read the negrado thread....... What's interesting is these same people 20/30 pages back wanted to perform falashio on his el matador, he's on a par with 'welbeck' now, this amuses me!!

If anyone has better suggestions, I don't mind change the title. I couldn't think of much to be honest.

That said we have to remember that Pellegrini has a vastly different style to Mancini's. We press a lot more. The four players that he bought in all do that job quite well and its about the others adjusting or Pelle bringing in 2-3 more of his own style.

On regards to the our bench strength, I feel its about some players on the bench not getting used to the style of play Pellegrini is adopting (I don't think they are shit). I noticed yesterday in the first half Micah and Navas probably din't exchange a single pass.

I think its just a barren run in our goal scoring form that is affecting us. We are I think better defensively than we were at the start of the season. Just need to get a few goals in for our confidence I think.

falashio Is that sucking a Lady Boy's cock..????

We've won 9 out of our last 11 league games, we're going to get 14 points from the following next 6 league games:

Hull
Fulham
Rags
Arsenal
Southampton
Liverpool

This then puts in a great position to win the league, with 4 of the last 6 games being at home.

We hit a post, had a remarkable goal line Clarence, a dick of a referee and strikers seriously out of form. These things happen. Why we all love football. 1 cup already and still in contention for others. With 4 comps our squad depth was always going to be tested. It has been and it has been found wanting. Not a fault we can blame MP for. I find the reaction to yesterday embarrassing. It may be that MP is not up for the job but what if we in win v Barca or run it close for the prem?

Unless you're the murderer trying to cover his tracks, of course. Oldest trick in the book.

What I meant to say was violently murdering someone on the way back to my car. I enjoyed that. Messy but enjoyable.

I probably don't post as much as the others but I do read a lot of stuff on here and I must say the shit that Pellegrini and the players have got since yesterday has been insane and unwarranted.

Now, I am not saying that there weren't any mistakes but calling for a new manager because we lost a game is just poor from a lot of us. The likes of United, Chelsea, Liverpool are already out and no manager is under pressure because of a loss in the FA cup. We are not Bayern Munich where we can expect to win all the domestic games.

Regarding tactics when Pelle chose 1 up top for Barca and then lost everyone said he should have gone 2 up top. When he lost with 2 everyone is saying 1 up top. Hindsight is always a good thing and the XI put out there yesterday would have beaten 9/10 times and unluckily it wasn't to be. I have read some very good posters calling him out and asking for a change and that has surprised me a lot. We scored 5 against Spurs nearly 1 month back and then we had an average month. Teams always have blips and its how we bounce back from them.

So my point of starting this thread is to keep all the negativity about the players and the manager out of this thread and have a good discussion on the team. There is nothing positive on this forum on the first page and I am sure the Chelsea, Arse and Rag fans would love to be in our situation. Hopefully on here, posters who are still positive about the team would sensibly discuss the positive of the games and the team and the mistakes without the "knee jerk" reaction and without the "I said so".

If there is another thread about the same, mods feel free to merge :).

P.S: Please no slagging players, manager or the team on here.

I take onboard a lot of stuff you say. I also agree this is not the time to slag a player off at the match. On here or in the pub I'm, not sure that matters to be honest.

The one point I disagree with you about is the hindsight thing. You don't need the benefit of hindsight to know that MDM is shite and a liability which he continues to prove as each match passes from one to the next.

I'm glad he's suspended for Barca. I just wish he wasn't available for any of the remaining league games.

Hopefully he'll be shipped out in the summer as an unmitigated disaster that he is, and hopefully never to be repeated.

on another day dzeko would have scored a hat trick , and if hart and kompany had started the match , i beleive we would have had a clean sheet , wigan got lucky , we rested too many players and the officials favoured the poor little underdogs , it happens in the FA Cup. We are off to the Nou Camp , we already have a cup in the trophy cabinet , and we are one of 3 serious contenders for the premiership , a little perspective wouldnt go amiss

I hate all this OTT positivity that people seem to force when things aren't going so well.

What is positive about going out in the FA Cup Quarter Final at home to Wigan when only 1 or 2 players perform? What is wrong with criticising those performances? Doesn't make you any less of a fan.

Even if we go out on Wednesday and can't catch Chelsea, this season will still be a success in Pelegrini's first but that doesn't mean we can't say that Sunday was unacceptable.

It certainly wasn't positive or sensible for me to part with £22.50 of my hard earned!!

The OP's point is valid. There is criticism and downright OTT reaction. What i read after getting home from the match yesterday was just stupid. Yesterday goes to show that if you put in the effort you will be rewarded. We put in effort for 30 mins Wigan did it for 90. So cmon City effort (+ class of course) on Wednesday and lets take our reward.

The pessimists may well be proved right in the end but the optimists have a happier journey.

I'm neither, I'm a realist, a realist that believes we should win against Wigan at home and that a league title now is firmly in Chelsea's hands but not impossible for us.

So that's two of us. Maybe we should start our own thread !!
Ps Am I still a realist if I believe we can beat Barca?

Criticism is fine.

Calling for a new manager or 200billion worth of new players is just arrogant, pathetic and plastic.

That's the point of this thread.

It isn't to say you should be happy to lose. It's basically advising the girls to pull their knickers up, dry the piss stains and move on because life can be tough.

Whether or not we win the league, beat Barca or end the season with just the league cup, you would be absolutely batshit crazy to think we wont clear out some/most of the deadwood and strengthen considerably in the summer.

MP will have had a season to get used to a league he has never managed in before and we will absolutely fuckin fly next season.

Of that, I'm positive.

Clarence Dzeko the cross-eyed striker? Maybe every time he blasts over from 5 yards out we should call it a Clarence :P
