We City are set to become the "noisy neighbours" from hell. Yes we have beaten United before but that was the underdog winning in a one off game but yesterday was the first time that we have played them thinking ourselves their equal.

They know it the rest of the Premiership knows it and the media knows it and nobody likes it.
Notice how everyone is trying to keep the lid on what we can acheive, the media, the FA. They know that once we win something or get into the Champions League then we will become THE dominant force in British football and who knows even World football.

Why because our club is debt free and no other club in the world can pay what we can for players and stay debt free.

Yesterday depsite the loss is the first time I have watched City at OT expecting to win rather than hoping to win. We as fans need to lose the "typical City" mentality Mark Hughes has, he believes, the players believe, I am not sure all the fans do yet but they will the believe the Buemoon is rising

The second best team in Europe had to cheat dive and bribe the ref to sneak it at home.

Good times are coming. They all know it. I am starting to believe it myself.

Argh! It hurts my head.

No we cant be good, we cant be close to a cup win.

No no no no no.I wont accept hope and expectation of success.

Does not compute.

I am a City fan and therefore will NOT think we are any good.

****You're brain has encountered a problem and needs to reboot. Would you like to reboot now?******

Even Baconface said his team played fantastic and yet they could only beat a weakened City side 4-3 at home, and still had to cheat to do it!

tic toc tic toc...

One player should not weaken your team mate. lets face it Fletcher two headed goals we got what we deserved yesterday. The rags know how to win at that level and we must learn big time from this game

Yesterday was a great experience for us. And shows the level of commitment we're reaching. Great post OP and I agree 100%. I'm proud to be 100% manc :-), we were looking at the top 6? I think we can finally achieve some silverware and top 4.

I cant see any other team scoring 7 goals against the rags and arse in 2 games, can you?

And of course thats without Robi' Santa and Ade (for 1 game)

This

We were dreadful 2nd half. 1st half was even, so what happened?
The top 4 teams tend to have a 20-8 shot ratio against thier opposition, even though we have been winning games, until yesterday we had a -13 shot ratio which is not top 4.

I know our team is gelling, but the defensive display yesterday, 2nd half especially was one of the worst ive experienced with city, and thats saying something. We let cross after cross come in, and to lose 2 headed goals to Fletcher is a worry. You wouldnt expect it with the calibre of players we have now but its a worry.
Player for Player you wouldnt really take Fletcher over barry, Anderson over SWP etc, but they played well as a team 2nd half and set the benchmark for how we need to play. Simply getting the ball and hitting it long for Bellamy to chase wont win us much, we need to retain possession alot more and be more clinical in finishing teams off, as Portsmouth and Wolves almost got points off us.

One other thing, is sort the throw ins out. I have never seen a team give the ball away so much after our own throw in. They had one shot about 15 seconds after our throw in. Its not the odd one or two, its the majority.

But for Given, the score could have been worse, and yes although i am still angry at what happened for thier winner, we didnt really deserve a point.

Hughes calls it character, i call it shocking defending.

As i say, i know we are growing and gelling as a team and to score 7 against Arsenal and Utd means we are a threat, but we need to do better. West Ham now is a huge game, need to bounce back from this defeat.

I think MH needs to give Ireland a clearer idea of what is expected of him. He appeared all at sea yesterday.

Richards has to be rested as he shows all the signs of a player who doesnt believe in himself i.e. poor throw ins with no definite target, finger pointing and protestations of frustration all the time. He switches off far too often.

I thought City looked tired and confused yesterday.
