Anyone remember him coming around the pubs with white tray, bit like the ice man at the intervals in the cinema, but with array of seafood delights such as cockles, mussles and prawns. Don't what it was but they always tasted bloody lovely picking them out with a cocktail stick especially after few pints in your belly.

When I lived in Wallasey they would come round all the pubs. Was only about 4 years ago. They probably still do it.

Still have one in Standish, alas he mainly just opens a trailer on fridays mainly now with fresh potted shrimp and other lovely stuff.

Sweet pickled herring rollmops = my idea of heaven.

I remember them I don't go to many pubs these day I wonder if they are still going

Never seen them for years I just thought they died off.

All those original jokes he had to hear every night

'Have you got change of a squid'
