The simple truth...

Personally I think it is an embarrassing and pathetic attempt to hide behind the ESL and get popular support from the media and other clubs fans (who they will fuck over as soon as they have their way again). If they have a problem with the Glazers it's up to them but don't try and cover it up with the ESL, that is just a convenience. As said before, the Glazers have spent hundreds of millions of pounds on players and managers so maybe they should look at the bigger picture but then that would involve facts and honesty rather than the myths and fairy tales they prefer to believe

Their fans were trouble before they were good (they were the first club to have fenced in supporters, a practice that eventually led to the Hillsborough disaster) and now they're trouble after their demise, like the original post says, they can't handle being second best in their own City.
Always remember going to old trafford for the 1st time,it was a league cup game v Luton Town ,can't remember why it was played there ?
What a shit hole ,resembled a zoo & a prison with its fence enclosures everywhere , what an eye opener at the time !

3rd reply iirc 73/74 or 75/76 season

If the Fans of a team stop a game ... and an important game ... hours from going ahead, Who is responsible? Something must give! How can Man United get away with this. Is it because they do not want to upset the fans for wanting the Glazers out because of the ESL? But they still stopped a game and cost both teams money and time.

The premier league are stuck here cause they cannot punish the fans for something they were also against. At the same time they cannot allow the fans to simply disrupt the competition cause they will do it again. So what happens next?

But it's not just about players and managers, though, it's about the whole club. The stadium needs work, the women's team has had no investment, their youth setup is midtable at best, the surrounding area hasn't seen any investment from the club, their community and charity outreach stuff is bunk. City have invested in every part of the club, and you can see every pound of that investment in that part of the city, from the stadium to community libraries, to City's representation at Manchester pride, to former United players sending their kids to City's youth setup. Now you can say this is the seeds they planted in the 90s, which would be fair, but as a Manc I'm annoyed that all that money is being taken out of the city and lining the pockets of already rich men on the other side of the world. And there are good United fans with good reasons to protest.

When did Louis Edwards, Martin Edwards, Magnier or McManus ever put money back into the city, never no offence pal but you’re talking shite.

Appreciate what you're saying but if they were where they were 1993-2013 they wouldn't give a toss about anything else. Will never be satisfied unless they are top/seriously challenging for the big honours and outspending others as was the accepted norm until Abramovic turned up at Chelsea

Oh, no doubt there are hypocrites and there were few criticisms when it meant they were on top, but I don't think anyone is looking at United as a well run club (not team) these days.

Where were their protests in 2006, 2007 & 2008? ManUre fans are claiming a lack of investment from the Glazers, but a look at these stats say different. They're only second to City in their net spend since 2013, but look at how many major honours they've won during that 7 year period?

It's not the amount of money they're pissed about, it's that they haven't had anything like the return on the Glazer's investment that they'd like. That's not a football issue, that's an Old Toilet issue, but the rest of football are being dragged into their personal bullshit.

£717m spent in 7 years. Roughly £102m per season on transfers, & they're complaining???? OK, so they claim £1bn has been spent on interest payments, Glazer "Management Fees", & profit taking from the Yanks. Are ManUre fans seriously claiming that additional £1bn should have been spent on their squad too? :-| 20210504_130311.jpg
