The simple truth...

The simple truth is………..THEY ARE ALL FUCKING CUNTS TO A MAN and I hope the glazers fucking ruin them.

I hate them with every part of my body and everything my body and everything that my body dispatches !

spot on matey

i would love nothing more than a denis law moment all over again. now that would be a magic moment and deserving of a statue

I think you’re right. The ESL has reignited the frustrations and I see lots of similarities between the position Utd are in now with the Glazers and where we were in 1993. It was the birth of the Premier League and our own failings after Swales put us into a position where we were in significant debt etc.that led to our pitch invasion v Spurs. Losing that game was the catalyst which allowed emotions to spill over on to the pitch, just like the ESL has been the catalyst for the Reds now. I explain more here:

Frustrations of many fans objecting to a chairman or owner remain until they get their way but what events like our Spurs defeat in 93 and the ESL stuff do is make a club’s wider fan base start to think of the specifics of what’s wrong at their club. Frustration that City are winning trophies will play a part - as it did with us in 93 - but it’s only a part.

Thanks for posting that, Gary, it was a good read.

Seems to me the rags' replacement of Edward Woodward is key. He was plainly a financial innovator who had no clue about football. For years they have signed big names who they rely on to shift shirts without thinking too hard about the team. And you don't get the impression the Glaziers are too worried by the absence of trophies so long as their £20m a year keeps coming in. He was also over-dependent on 'big name' managers - Van Gaal, Mourinho - without thinking whether they were right for his club. On the other hand, he trebled their turnover.

What they need to appoint is someone who is equally good at the financial side but considerably better at the football side. A bit of success on the pitch and the ownership brouhaha will die down, I would suspect.

Unfortunately people like that don't grow on trees. And ultimately I suspect they will repeat their error of appointing someone who is very good at business but lacking any real knowledge about football. If that's right, the protests about ownership won't go away.

Not too many complaints from the misguided plastic horde between 2005 and 2013 when they won plenty of trophies.
Post Fergie, they appointed their chosen one, in Moyes - selected by Fergie - then had Van Gaal, followed by Mourinho, and those 2 were then regarded as 2 of the best in the business - many at the time thought that they were at least on a par with Pep, if not superior to him. So, "what's your problem you red shirted horde?"
In the period from 2013, they spent a fortune on what were regarded as many of the best players available.
They did what United have always done; bought individuals and slotted them in, hoping they would fit well. This works at times - especially with good managers (like Fergie), but, not when you put your club on the managerial treadmill. Fergie himself had his fair share of failures, but he signed many of the best that became available in his 25+ years in charge.
Several managers were given inadequate time to get 'their' squad together, and potentially, Mourinho wasn't supported fully (so he said, and spat his dummy out). These were bad decisions in retrospect by bad management with short term thinking. They pandered to the horde in sacking managers early when any one of them may have 'got it right' given a little more time. Then came Giggsy, then Ole at the wheel - "..they know the club..." The horde were happy!!
There was never a shortage of money, even though the Glazers have bled millions from the club. They have spent slightly less than City in recent years, allegedly, but, they have bought more than their fair share of very high priced players. Their spending is said to be higher than Liverpool's or Chelsea's. So, you plastic horde - what's your problem? What do you want?
As King Louis said - not Van Gaal - but the monkey king in The Jungle Book film - as they look across to East Manchester - to the Etihad - and the misguided horde sing:-

Oo-bi-doo; we wanna be like you-oo-ooh

If ever a few days summed up how the boot is now firmly on the other foot it was this weekend

Another City win as we close in on another PL title on the back of yet another League Cup trophy last week

Preparing for a CL semi final with a strong chance to reach the final

CL game taking place in a state of the art complex befitting of a modern well run club

Mass protests, disturbances and criminal activity at a club whose owners have despite throwing over a billion pounds in transfer fees and wages find themselves nowhere near a PL or CL trophy at a ground where their own fans have actually already started the demoliition

Do they even need an equalizer if their fans never let them play games

It would be interesting if they approached Gary Neville for a senior position. He’s business savvy (in his own eyes), knows football, will quell some fan issues etc. Would be interesting as I suspect he loves money and fame more than credibility, so he’d bite And he’d be out of his dpeth and would continue the death spiral.
