I agree ads are good for Bluemoon, money is needed. But having an ad with a playing sound and video, prompted automatically without any clicking, is crap for several reasons. These ads are only played if you're not logged in, so takes this from the view of the random first time visitor:
1) Opening several threads through tabs now means 3 or 4 ads start to play, meaning I now hear four videos playing at the same time (=echo)
2) People will get pissed off and start using adblock (lurkers who don't understand ads are removed when logged in)
3) People with older computers won't be able to visit BLuemoon since having a video played will slow the computer down. (Visitors from our upcoming opposition fanbase who aren't interested in registering for example)
4) Quite frankly I have 0 interest in watching some video about Chelsea training (?) 200 times a day, meaning in my world, StanJames won't be a site I'll ever use and I damn right won't click that ad.

That was the con's for having a video automatically starting when you open a thread, what are your pro's Bluemoon staff?

So these are removed as soon as you are logged in. But when at school or at work (where login cookies aren't stored), when I just want to pop in and see what's up shortly without loggin in, these ads are stopping me from doing it. Actually the school computers (Windows Server) can barely handle it.

Well that's a relief, I was just about to jack in Bluemoon once and for all because every time Harry Redknapp starts mangling the english language my computer semi freezes and it takes forever to scroll down. I haven't been able to get anywhere until Ancelotti's halfway through his mumblethon.

And this has happened 15 times as I read various threads.

I only logged on to post about it, then found that that solved the problem.
