The Stone Roses/Ian Brown

Got a seated ticket for Sunday, but my mates have all got Standing. Any chance anyone wants a swap? or does anyone think I'll be able to swap with a tout on the day or somehow get myself into Standing section, don't fancy sitting on my own.

An exquisite mix of Fools Gold and the greatest solo track Ian ever imagined but couldn't quite write.

These lads just have an phenomenal chemistry.

I'm absolutely buzzingtons :)
That's more like it isn't it, wow absolutely wow.
It feels like they've just dropped one love before italia90. Perfect timing.
Not a patch on AFO which is a great song still but they got this one absolutely nailed.
Let's hope the album is in the same vein but beautiful thing is fucking epic.
The gang are back.

I bet you're not disappointed then! Sounds like the love child of Fools Gold and Breaking Into Heaven, I absolutely love it!

No other band could have released this tune, the rhythm section is one of the best ever and John Squires is a monster. Ian Brown isn't exactly Pavarotti but I couldn't imagine anyone else singing on that tune. Solid 8/10 from me.
Not disappointed one bit mate.
I'm back in 1990 with new roses tunes and England at the tournaments.
They've still got it haven't they.
More where beautiful thing came from please.

Yeh musically All For One was decent, the lyrics were a bit cringy though. Beautiful Thing though, they absolutely nailed it. Sounds like it's off the album they should have made in 1991! Hope they do an album now with more of that kind of style.

Sounds fantastic doesn't it!
Hooked from the first minute to the last.
Epic.

The backwards bit sounds like it's AFO reversed to me. Like they segued from AFO to Beautiful Thing as if to say 'right that was that, but this is this and we're fucking back'.

I note all the 'the Roses were / are shit' brigade seem to have not heard it yet?

The way they've just picked up from where they left it pre 2nd Coming is imperious.

This is why we loyally and patiently waited so fucking long for them.

Best band ever.

I'd even say that these are the first two singles off the new album, AFO followed by beautiful thing and it backs up what you said about it being segued , you got a very valid point highlighting that.
And I'm still in awe, mesmerised and excited after spending the best part of the afternoon listening to beautiful thing on repeat.
Could the next single begin with a 'C'?

Was worried this would be shit, but better than most of the second album even on first listen. All I need now is to grow my hair, lose four stone and I'll feel 18 again. Still, at least I wake up feeling better than gazza most days.

Just posted in the ticket and exchange section, thought I would post in here as well

I've got a spare for tomorrow night due to illness, if anyone is interested let me know

Appreciate its short notice, worst case I will have 2 seats to myself :)

Cheers

I see what you did there mate :)

Can not wait for tomorrow :)

The times that the supports are on seem a bit mental imo.

Where's everyone congregating pre-gig tomorrow?

Came up from Norwich for these gigs (going Wednesday and Friday)

We'll be in town for about half four tomorrow.

My Biggest worry is getting the last metro to Didsbury after the gigs!!
