I was born in 76, so never noticed the heat.
Anyway it ain't that hot only 19°-23°c that's is mild compared to some places

It won't be 76 again. On the other side of the channel it's pissed down for days with towns flooded on the northern Brittany coast.

Hated 76, too hot and sweaty. Most sports grounds were exempt from the restrictions on watering. Our local cricket club stayed lush and green while our lawns turned brown. One day, a wag chopped the groundsman's hose into neat 1 foot pieces. Tee Hee.
