Difference is the German teams need approval of the fans as they are owned by them the others aren’t so they can make their own decisions
so having fans involved in the decision making process means the soul can't be ripped out of the club by some **** who wants to add to his billions? who would have thought that eh?

Stadium licensing, safety certificates etc. Club ownership rules. Loads of ways to kill it if the political will is there
Much as I'm against the new league it would be disgraceful if we go down the path of some of these ideas.

We could all go to town on the stadium and burn it to the ground, break the players legs. Doesn't make it legal or even sane IMO. Why would a government get involved in stopping Manchester City drop the UEFA CL for another competition? Really, why?
Because we have a government who only see the PR benefits and really don’t care what they say or do as long as it benefits their image and standing.
After perpetrating the biggest fraud ever on the British public, fronted, coincidentally, by the biggest fraud in politics, the idea that they want to protect the little man, the ones with no power, from a group of super-wealthy people who want to make obscene profits by milking their position of power is frankly laughable.

My girlfriend is from Napoli and is a Napoli fan, I spoke with her father earlier who said Napoli would jump at the chance to join this and the owner has already spoken to people about joining, its inevitable that chairmen are going to want to do this, particularly as global interest in the domestic game is superseded by the SL.

This is a major issue, it's 15 for now but this will rise to 40 in a fully closed league and they will leave the domestic leagues and what then.
