The Football Association has released a statement.

We welcome news that some of the clubs have decided to abandon the plans for the European Super League, which threatened the whole football pyramid. English football has a proud history based on opportunity for all clubs and the game has been unanimous in its disapproval of a closed league. It was a proposition that, by design, could have divided our game; but instead, it has unified us all.
We would like to thank the fans in particular for their influential and unequivocal voice during this time, holding true the guiding principles of football. It is a powerful reminder that the game is, and always will be, for fans.

“Most notably their fans”, indeed!

Bluemoon and the wider City fanbase has been brilliant these past couple of days. Very encouraging to see our fans would not just go along with the club’s board just because it would line their pockets. That fans said they would end their support for the club shows that a lot of our fans have a lot of time for the players of this sport, the fans across all teams, English football history and traditions and the wider culture of this country.

Never mind a thread saying “well done City”... well done City fans!
Amen brother.

Now we are out and have seen the light, get Chelsea out too and then I hope the rest stick with it and the other 16 Premier league clubs vote them out. We will be pyriahs for many years and rightly so but there's redemption available if we help rid the footballing world of those 10 clubs.
