Do you think they should just make up football gossip like the rest of the football stories in the papers? This is a 10 month investigation and it should be encouraged not swept away because some feel entrapped,if you dont cheat,steal and bend the rules, and you dont get caught with your fingers in the till, nobody forced them to open swiss bank accounts or give cash bungs, let alone make them brag to near strangers about it.

10 month investigation into BFS? Not so sure about that. However, I'm all for them evidencing their findings into corruption in any and all sports, but I was only commenting on BFS. Being found out to be a stupid, greedy, ex footballer is not really the stuff of Woodward and Bernstein. Discovering that huge swathes of the PL is dirty, if indeed that's what they've done, is a different matter altogether.

The newspapers phone tap, set people up and do kiss and tells for money, and some people take pleasure in seeing richer people fall from grace due to jealousy, schadenfreude and for titillation. Lowest common denominator stuff all round.
