The term "Uncs"

I'm moaning a little and I don't think I do your second point. No massive problem with the word itself, but the meaning changes when it is only ever used in a negative way.

Eg.

"We need to get rid of the uncs"
"We've got no chance, Pep's picked the uncs."

I've never seen anyone use it in a positive manner ever, and some of the players have helped us win a shit load of trophies. It's poor.

Even though our frank was a bit of a mute witness he implied it was all down to an asian rut, but that sounded a bit king leer to me.

I feel a few of us on here are being a little too precious and anyone getting upset over anything on what anonymous trolls on social media are saying needs to stop going on social media and your life will change for the better.
 
The only 'reasons' I can see 'uncle' being used as an insult is the association it has with a lot of crime. Thereis also the post above mine by @The Future’s Blue!

I've seen the term used in streaming channels on twitch and the like.

Cheers for that, I don't do Twatter as I see enough shite on Facebook. There was a load giving dog's abuse to Eddie after we lost to the Al Hilal Curry House XI and I asked if any of them had ever been to the Etihad to see him play for City. None of them claimed to have been so I treated their opinion with the standard disdain reserved for any so-called fans who couldn't find the ground if they were stood on Ashton New Road holding an A-Z of Manchester. - Old line originally found in BTH (I think) about rags and the swamp.

He can be fairly unsupportive of our players and Pep at times on X. Entitled to his opinion, but on a platform like X where it’s an open fan pool (rather than somewhere like Bluemoon where it’s mostly Blues), I’d expect him to be more supportive.

But that’s what X is like. Most City fans on X seem more bothered about striking up engagement so willl just talk complete bollocks to bait rage out of people and have their comments sections full, than they do talk rationally and insightfully.

Sorry about giving my honest personal opinion on social media about a team I’ve watched religiously since 1982.

Btw always confused about this alleged desire to stoke engagement. That may apply to some massive YouTube accounts who literally make their living like that, but for almost everyone else, engagement is simply a load of morons arguing you are wrong without anything but a different opinion or abuse. Engagement is trash and utterly valueless. You’d need 500k X followers to make a meaningful monthly cash amount. Maybe even 1m

It's black American slang for people who are past their physical prime, you reach Unc status when you're in your late 30/40s etc. Knees start hurting, can't get up off a chair without making a noise etc.

Like all other Black American slang, it got stolen by gen Z fuckwits who just think every player over the age of 29 is washed because that's what FIFA taught them and FIFA is all they know when it comes to assessing football.
