Dunney you'll always be a legend in my book. Thank you for the dedication you've shown our club over the past 9 years and may you have every success at Villa (as long as it isn't doing better than us) :)

wish he was staying as part of the squad, but realise he still has a lot to offer in the prem, and needs to be playing each week. Good luck Dunney, it wont be the same without you.....

Agree. There may be faster centre halves out there, who can turn a little quicker and who might get us a few more goals just as soon as we know how to take a corner, but we'll be very lucky to get a better guy. Thank you Richard Dunne for everything you did for us.

City legend!

Played through thick and thin, 4 POTY awards, great attitude, brilliant commitment to sort himself out after his early years, great player and great all round guy.

Would like to have seen him stay and get a testimonial and lift a trophy for us, especially seeing as that clown Tal Ben Haim is still here but if this is best for him then fair enough.

Good luck in the future, thanks for everything and maybe knock in an own goal or get a cheeky red card versus us.


It might be a good idea for someone to send Dunney this thread of thank you's as well to show him how much we respect and love him.
 
gutted to see dunnie leave, but i think that the time is right,
he wouldnt be playing week in week out in our team,
and whilst it is without question that we now havefar more talented and gifted players in our team,
whether we find another more loyal and commited is another!
the lad put his heart n soul into playing for city and genuinly loves the club and the fans,
richard dunne legend,
once a blue always a blue!
 
A shame, but inevitable.

Probably the best move for him, all the best big fella.
