I don't see it like that, they have the points on the board and Ok we have to play them, but that only put us under more pressure when we face them,

Arsenal know playing at the Etihad will be all on us to win the game, Yes we are good enough to beat anybody home and away, but we are still in the FA Cup and Champions League and that could be the key,
Being in the CL & FA cup is a welcome distraction, our squad can’t get too fixated on any competition, so won’t have time to overthink (and I mean Pep as well:) we go game to game

I think the expressions on the arsenal bench said it all, or at least a lot of it. Neville was trying to sugar coat it and boost ramsdales confidence as he begged his way for an arsenal win throughout that game, but they got hammered by a hopeless Liverpool team that second half. It's in our hands. Game on. Up the blues

Spot on,bar the last bit the best team does win the league regardless..

what I meant to say is sometimes the team that plays the best football does not win the title, results win the title and an ugly win gets you the same as a fantastic win

I also believe the highlighted portion of your post will lead to Crystanbul type scenarios.

Them having to go to places like St James' Park not just needing to win but needing to claw back some goals, recipe for disaster.
Hopefully as that was one of the funniest games of football I've ever witnessed.

Pressure got to them today at 2-0 they could off should off smashed Liverpool instead they constantly tried to feign injury stopped trying to attack and parked the bus. I don't think I've ever seen an English team drop to the ground so much after they took the lead. I don't like city players when they dive and feign injury but if they ever did it to that extent I wouldn't have a problem with people booing them ,all the respect I've had for Arsenal this season went to today ,I could have handled them beating us to the title now I want to make them cry like Suarez.
I agree with this. They blew it.

You know in hindsight arsenal would have took a draw against Liverpool better to come away with something than nothing, which brings me to the home game against Brentford when we could have took our medicine and a point is better than nothing just think of the extra point/s here and there in games, bit late now I know but just thinking about things like this ..
If we'd settled for a point against Fulham and a point against Brentford we'd be one point below what chasing a winner in both and ultimately losing one achieved.

We just don't know how hard 9 games to go will be this season with the world cup being in mid-season. the legs can go fast with players and playing 3 times a week from now on may push our squads to the limits,

First things first, we have to get the job done against Leicester and not immediately let Arsenal off the hook like we did against Forest a few days after beating them. We need them to feel like we're not going to slip-up again this season and that we're going to relentlessly chase them down now.

It's a shame they're up against a terrible West Ham side next as they'll be able to put today behind them quickly with what will probably be a comfortable win. It's not impossible that West Ham get something as they're at home and are fighting to avoid relegation, and maybe if we cut the gap down to three points earlier in the day then the pressure will get to them but my head tells me they'll win that pretty easily. Then whilst we're playing an FA Cup semi-final, they've got Southampton at the Emirates which is the very definition of a home banker.

Going in to our game against them at the Etihad, assuming that we've beaten Leicester and they've beaten West Ham and Southampton, they will be 9 points ahead but we will have 2 games in hand. If we then beat Arsenal, we will be 6 points behind them with 2 games in hand and will more than likely have a superior goal difference. Although the league is technically in our hands already, it's also in Arsenal's hands as we've still got to play each other but if it all unfolds as described above then it will be properly in our hands. Losing three times in a row in the same season against your title rivals would surely have a negative psychological impact too.

If we win our next two games, I think our momentum and experience in tight title races will see us over the line.

This is actually an important point that I haven't seen picked up.

Even if they win those two fixtures comfortably as expected, Arsenal's mentality going into our match is almost certainly "don't lose the game". I think that's always dangerous, a bit like trying to protect a 1-0 lead in a game. I reckon that could work in our favour.

If they don't win their two fixtures comfortably... then even better.

Definitely. I'd fancy Arsenal to turn West Ham over but their is simply no guarantees in football.

West Ham battling for points at the bottom whilst Arsenal are basically playing a game they HAVE to win.

It's not going to be easy for Arsenal.

I think Everton away will be the same for us, 3rd to last game of the season as well.

That game will be very difficult for us I think and we follow it with Chelsea at home whom you just don't know what you are going to get.

Hopefully Dyche will have them on the beach by then.

What did Arteta need to say to the fuckers at 2-0 up cruising at Anfield? Whatever it was failed massively.

Realistically though the Arsenal game is a title decider and we are at home. We couldn't ask for more. I think we will do it.

One plus for City is that we could have two games a week now until the end of the season. It gets the rhythm and momentum going for the run-in. No time to ponder and worry about the next game too much because the next game comes so quickly, you are forced to be ‘on it’ all the time.

Whereas Arsenal do have time to worry about each game. They only have one midweek game left.

I'm not sure Arsenal know how to manage games & shut up shop which should play into our hands.
