Well it really paints a gloomy picture that you're concerned about the points tally from those games, and I'm not necessarily in disagreement. In previous seasons we'd be looking at nigh on full points, putting the dippers game aside. The fall off this season has been dramatic and the recovery from this point would have to be equally so if we're to challenge. It's a bit of a shame really because these winter months have been quite productive in the past.Very true, but I'd say that's being very optimistic having watched the last two games. We look a complete mess and I'm afraid to say the dippers look the complete opposite to us.
Nothing I've seen has suggested we are going to just click into gear like in previous seasons. I don't remember us conceding this amount of goals before apart from the odd one off game.
Dippers (A)
Forest (H)
Palace (A)
United (H)
Villa (A)
How many points can you honestly see taken from these games before Christmas?
Obviously liverpool are heavy favourites for the title but they are not clear of the pack yet. This season is a write off as far as I'm concerned.
It's similar to the 2016/17 and 2019/20 seasons.
Liverpool will be out of sight by December and win the league easily come May next year.
The squad will be refreshed in the Summer and we'll go again next season.

This team is shot. Their legs are gone.
They've been fantastic these many years. But it's time to say goodbye to many of our top top talents.
I have no problem with a transition season as long as we can see some kind of transition happening. I just see older players we’ve kept for too long and no forward planning regarding youth coming in to the team. This is exactly how I feel. There was always going to be a drop-off / transition season and there's no shame in that when we've been so good for so long.
I wonder if the club knew this in the summer or if they've been caught on the hop? This is exactly how I feel. There was always going to be a drop-off / transition season and there's no shame in that when we've been so good for so long.
This is spot on. The transition should have started in the Summer and be ongoing - but it didnt because we have a Director of Football seeing out the final months of his contract , a manager suffering some kind of breakdown, and our board trying to ensure the whole club doesn’t go up in flames at the 115 tribunal.I have no problem with a transition season as long as we can see some kind of transition happening.
