That Was 2 years ago, Bale has stalled. He has alot to his game Pace, good heading shooting and crossing and is capapable of getting a good amount of goals and assists but he also has an ego that has allowed him to think he is better than he is i.e playing more centrally;he is not Messi and does not have particulary good control or footballing intelligence, even a player like Hulk offers more than Bale in this role as he often bullies opponents with his physical attributes and it took a superb Joleon Lescott to stop him against City, Bale does n't bully opposition or pose such a threat that they need to rough him up a bit. I watched the NUFC v spurs game and Bale was distincly average did nothing of note and was outshone by Aaron Lennon (a player who has n't appeared for england for 2 years).

he's a lesser version of Ronaldo if you think about it. But his Pace is just out of this world.

As for the earlier posts; the media are so busy sharpening their knives for AVB due to arry being their Bitch; the idiot Brenda in charge of the Mickeys will get a free ride.
 
If Spurs fans can see a man with a plan on the field then they should back him,mancini wasn't universally popular here in his first season,he was mocked by the press and a lot of our fans because of his perceived negative football,but it wasn't negative as such,it was a new way of playing,a possession game,which only started to bear fruit in his second season.

I think bale is better than petrov. Bale goes through slumps and yet to stay consistent through a whole season. The talent is there anyone can see that. There were threads about adam Johnson being better too which is just as bad
 
Predictably, today's press conference focused on the goalkeeping situation. AVB has spoken to Lloris, and Friedel will keep his place.

AVB: "We feel that Brad is looking consistent, and deserves bearing in mind his performances against Norwich and against West Brom."

AVB: "At this moment in time it was extremely unfair not to give Brad the opportunity to continue in his position."

AVB reports that there were no major injuries during international break - but Dempsey and Sandro are jet-lagged.

Tonights game at White Hart Lane is part of the ST package and there are discounted tickets for sale. Only 25k have turned up. I would have expected a higher crowd as they have the world's biggest waiting list and Spurs fans on forums and are always claiming they have many more fans than we do.

I find it surprising that there are people on a waiting list for an ST, where prices start at £700, but they cannot be bothered forking out £25 for a game.
 
Tottenham have a lot of decent youngsters coming through. However, they are not as good as last year. They lacked the guile and creativity, which Modric and VDV could provide. Defoe despite working harder is not as good as Adebayor. That said they are better tactically now and play a more balanced team. Sandro is a class player. Think fifth is the best they can hope for this season. Really need more creativity in the team. Walker is good, but he does make costly mistakes every game.
