Anybody been watching this on the BBC ? Possibly the funniest show of the year for me, the chemistry between Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan is hilarious.

First episode

Always loved Coogan. Brydon has been something of a revelation in this series. Alongside the little Alan Partridge youtube shows he's been doing, Coogan is in fine form.

Brilliant show, but wouldn't expect less of anything directed by Michael Winterbottom. Coogan and Brydon's performances are sublime, and I'd love to know what the acting/ad-lib ratio is (there've been a couple of occasions where they've been on the brink of corpsing).

I also love the fact they're bigging up the beautiful North. Hipping Hall, the venue of last week's episode, is the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Food to die for.
