The true secret of Leicester City's success / doping thread merged

I'd just like to say a few people have said they suspect Leicester of doping over the past few months and have been laughed at and belittled.

You'd have to be so naive and deluded to not suspect anything when City constantly have 20 injuries and Leicester, Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea never have any and can run through brick walls with the same 11 and no injuries all season.

Liverpool have had a fair few injuries this season. Quite a few hamstring problems which led to people questioning Klopps methods.

Leicester have also benefitted from going out of the domestic cups early. Pretty much all season they have had 1 game a week which means their players have had more time to recover.

I wouldn't say that just because some clubs struggle with injuries means that the ones who don't are cheats. Maybe it's just as simple as the other clubs having more time for recovery or better methods.

Looking at them playing now against at Southampton, where do they get this energy from ? It's so unatural to watch them go at everything and everyone with such brute force. They don't tire !!

Said it for a few years now, the top teams like Barcelona and a number of premier league teams will definitely be using performance enhancing drugs. It is impossible to compete at the highest level so frequently, injury free, without doing so.

Barcelona very rarely rest players, their core 11 play around 70 games per season in peak condition. Just because some PEDs or EPO doesn't show up on a drugs test, doesn't mean it's not cheating.

Lol.
The true story of Leicester's success is....
They've been better than everyone else, and that's it.
Plus, nobody knows what that success is just yet. Top four, runners up or champions. Either way they have had a freak season where the regular contenders have been relatively poor. They've had a run of luck with injuries and some average players playing out of their skin amongst two or three of the best players in the league this season. Fair fucks to them wherever they finish.
you ve just ignored the central point.
stop being so naive.
lots of winners, in lots of sports have been "better than everyone else"....
Do you recall BenJohnson being the fastest man on earth?

You've really got to start questioning what Ranieri put into the Leicester lad's pizza.

Even if that were the case, it is inconceivable that they other players in the squad aren't in on it if its a big enough group of players, like you suggest. Given the sums involved, the capacity for blackmail would be overwhelming.
Interesting that the Leicester City statement doesn't actually deny the story outright. It's very carefully worded, using terms like "unsubstantiated" and that the Times has "...insufficient evidence to support the claims". They then talk about their robust anti-doping procedures. But they don't actually deny anything. It's what is known as a "non-denial denial".
