In Whalley Range obviously. Closed down now by all accounts. Shame as it's quite iconic in it's own sort of way.

Did this used to be the Little Alex or am I getting confused?

Corner of Chorlton Rd & Withington Road.

Rough old boozer like most of them round there. Seen some blue/red mither there on more than one occasion. Not been down that way for ages, surely the building will still be there, no?

Fantastic picture.
The buildings still there but it's definataly closed. Noticed as I went past on the bus last night.
Not sure why, although it's not got a good reputation!

Yep that's it. And it's closed for sure and up for sale. I took a walk down about an hour ago before crossing the Parkway and visting Gibsons Green.

Used to drink there when I lived on Ayers Road. Met some great old West Indian blokes in there. Used to be a top craic with them.

I went in a couple of hours before England's first game in the World Cup against Italy. Even had a mate working behind the bar. Not given any inclination it was due to close. Seems a bit odd as its always pretty busy even in these difficult times. I've lived in Whalley Range for nearly four years now and although if I go out it's usually Chorlton, I've been in the Whalley a few times and never seen any bother at all. Having said that the evening I was last in a few well known City 'faces' were having a beer.
