Christy Dignam, front man for Aslan.
Probably won't mean much to non Irish but he was a musical icon over here.
I've must have seen them over one hundred times over the years, pub,hotels and arenas. Both my kids have seen them multiple times, a huge part of many people's lives.
RIP Christy and thanks for everything.

I’ve just stuck a few classics up on the what are you listening to thread.

I think Aslan were destined to be huge but Christy had a minor issue. …
A heroin problem.
The band split and he went to get rehabilitated. They came back in the 21st century with the same loyal following who fully appreciated how loyal the band stayed to Christy through his problems.

He was an immense talent.

Alan Downey, the drummer lived directly across the road from my missus.

Lost a big name from the comic book world with the passing of John Romita Sr. He was 93 though. Best know for his work on Spider-Man and Wolverine amongst many others.
