The "which famous person died today" thread

Arthur Treacher today too - Arthur Fowler in Eastenders gone too. He made 92 though so another decent knock.

Like with Mark and the AIDS storylines, Arthur was one of the first to highlight mental disorders on the TV to the general public, although he is fully responsible for the UKs warped obsessions with allotments to this day.
Good point, actually. Didn’t he steal the money to help Michelle, who was pregnant thanks to Dirty Den?

And I keep looking every Saturday night but can never find the Walford Town FC result

Tom Owen today too - Bill Owen's son - he took a part similar to that of his Dad's in Last of the Summer Wine.... the Grim Reaper has been bloody busy today.

At our uni halls of residence we had an ‘Arthur Fowler is innocent’ sign in our kitchen window. One night I came home pissed, lost at cards and as a forfeit had to do 20 star jumps in the middle of the car park wearing only boxers, a hard hat (nicked off a building site) and the Arthur sign hanging around my neck
