The Wire is one of the best television series I've seen in my life! I urge anyone who hasn't heard or seen this before to watch it. I can't believe this wasn't aired the same time as it was in the States.

And stay with it BB2 (or anyone else thinking of watching it) because it can be very frustrating and confusing initially. You are quickly introduced to so many characters it can appear overwhelming, especially because The Wire doesnt simplify things for the viewer. Quite the opposite. But man is it rewarding once you've got a handle on things! And series upon series it begins to build an entire world with incredibly rich interwoven storylines.
It is breath-taking television of the very highest order.
