For those who haven't heard of this, it's a documentary made by Peter Jackson, commissioned by the BBC to commemorate 100 years of the end of WW1, using archive footage
It's been restored, colourised and dubbed.
It's in a few cinemas now, but the BBC will be showing it on BBC1 in the near future, it looks fantastic yet eerie

It looks amazing.

Technology is only going to keep improving the resortoration of films like this.

Thanks for the heads up. Looks superb.

Cant wait to see this as it looks both incredibly informative and humbling.

It should also be mandatory viewing in every classroom.

Should be a great watch. We should never forget what these guys done for us. Just finished a book about the Manchester Pals, truly humbling.

Really wish I’d gone to see this. They’re showing it on Arimistance Day on the BBC. Every school is also being sent a copy. Brave men, everybody including myself thinks of the wars as “events”, especially the First World War as many of us never spoke to anybody who experienced it. This documentary will really bring home how each and every person had a story and their own experiences.

Off to France and Belgium later this month to tour the battlefields and cemetery’s, great great grandads name is on the Theipval memorial for those who’s body’s we’re never found at the Somme. Looking forward to it and know it will be very emotional.

Awesome news, and quite surprising given the state of today's society and the morons in influential places.

Whether or not it’s shown is a different story, sadly many schools now don’t value history anymore, everything is focused on Maths, English and Science.
