TBH I don't mind going on Red Cafe as they are a pretty level headed and honest, unlike Boyle's Red Tissue lot.

Just popped over and started reading this thread and TBH they seriously think we can win the league this season. Infact, they are very complementary about us.

The fact is we were punching MILES below our weight under Hughes. He constantly downplayed our apirations so as to make mediocrity look like a result.

But when you look at our squad, in all honesty, which other team has a better collection of players than us?

And the "it takes time to gel" argument is overplayed in my view. Get talented players the likes of Barry, Tevez, Sweep, Bellamy etc etc etc and a very decent manager, they can adapt and play well together quickly. And it's not as if we started yesterday. We have half a season under our belt and several of our players played a whole season together last year. You'd expect us to get better in the 2nd half and we are already 4th!

We should ABSOLUTELY be aiming to win it in my view. We may not succeed, but if we have that attitude, we might have to "put up" with coming 2nd or 3rd... which wouldn't be a bad result would it!
 
So does everyone again suddenly.
If we go a couple of games without a win, then it'll be 6th at best again.

Anyway.

It's quite interesting what opposing fans think of our chances of gaining a top 4 finish or actually winning the league itself, regardless of who they support. It shows just how far we've come when even the Rags and others are now taking us very seriously.

It's nice to know times are a changing across the City and across football in general.

Dare I whisper it. City are finally back.
 
Now we are on the up, we really shouldn't demean ourselves by even looking at what those glory hunting arseholes have to say for themselves.

Chelsea will probably win the league this year - but of course there is a slim chance that we could do it if we keep on a great run and others keep stumbling!
