They're quiet, too quiet. They pretend it doesn't matter, even though a win could take them top, they claim a virus, because they want to make themselves look weak so a win would be fantastic, make us look bad, but they won't brag, they won't mention it, they're scared, they KNOW we can beat them.

Even if they sneak a win and squirm out of their holes on thursday bragging and laughing, the damage has been done. We are the big fish now, the big boys, and they won't stand up to us and fight honestly, man to man.

Roberto, it's over to you, slaughter them. This is our chance to permanently shift the balance, we fail tomorrow, well it's unthinkable.

Meh if all the players are injured/ill then City should win shouldn't they, if they cant beat a reserve team after spending 300 million then they are shitter than i thought.

Sounds as if we cant even get a team together, is there any way the club could ask the FA for a postponement if its that sever? i mean its a bit ridiculous having to play a match when literally everyones down with sickness.

You're right, it's certainly been a quiet build-up from the media, the players, the managers etc.

Not sure about scared (no doubt some of the fans are), but I think the real reason for the silence is that it doesn't benefit either party to hype this one up. A loss for either team will be viewed by the respective set of fans as a disaster, but even more so if the media start ramping up the pressure.

Mancini and Ferguson are aware of this. In my opinion, they're both trying to do some sort of pre-emptive damage limitation exercise, by treating it as 'just another game'. The fans won't buy it, but the media might.
