Dzeko and Kolarov. The two Balkans have been amazing so far. Dzeko for obvious reasons but I have really been impressed with Aleks this season. Some great goals, great assists and great performances. Yesterday, they both came off the bench and changed the game. Dzeko got two and Kolarov gave a great pass to Aguero which led to the goal and cleared the ball of the line in the last minutes. Well done , and I hope they continue their form.

That's why it's always best not to come onto a City forum and slag off City players. Even if you don't get proven wrong, you will always look like a complete fanny.

Kolorov still 2nd choice behind clichy but good option against Sunderland downwards
This. Definitely an important member of our squad. If he is happy to step in when required. He is capable of delivering some quality balls and free kicks.

No they shouldn't.

Clichy > Kolarov.
Aguero & Tevez > Dzeko.

They've been playing very well recently but Clichy, Aguero and Tevez offer much more than Dzeko and Kolarov on a consistent basis.

Regarding Kolarov, why doesn't Mancini start him further forward. Some of his crosses are simply amazing. No one is the Premier league can whip in a ball like him.
Because then we'd have to change a system that has worked well since the FA Cup semi-final over a year ago. We tried a 3-5-2 with Kolarov in a slightly more attacking role and it didn't work. Starting with Kolarov on the left side of a four in midfield would mean we'd have to sacrifice Silva or Nasri's place in the team.

Kolarov is happy with his role at the club now he's featuring a little more but he'll never offer pace, the ability to prevent crosses coming in from the right-hand side or the ability to use both feet confidently like Clichy can. Admittedly, Kolarov's crosses are much better than Clichy's but they're only really required when we're chasing a game. Kolarov and Dzeko are suited to a much more direct style of football than what we play from the beginning of most fixtures.
It works when we play a 3-men defence behind Kolarov where Kolarov has less responsibility in defence. This system is where Kolarov can shine.

Nonetheless, the defence weren't able to warm up to the 3-men style.

An alternative was Mancini had tried Kolarov as something of a left-winger, but because Kolarov lacked natural technical ability to play on the wings without the help of a winger, the idea was ineffective and eventually scrapped.

I will hold my hands up iv had a go at Kolarov in the past but hes proved me wrong, must be one of the best dead ball finishers in the prem and his overall displays recently have improved no end

They've proven whom wrong? I've never had a bad word to say about either of them.

There have been countless discussions regarding the two.

Kolarov is more effective at the moment then Nasri. For parts of the game I forgot he was playing. Kolarov offers us something that no other play can. His freekick have improved tremendously and even defencively he looks stronger. We could play a 4-2-3-1 formation

Hart

Richards Lescott Kompany Clichy

Garcia Yaya

Silva Aguero Kolarov

Dzeko

I think in this formation, we would allow Kolarov to have little responsibility in defence and could whip crosses to Dzeko with Aguero picking up the pieces. Whenever Kolarov has played in this position he has shined and I think we should give him more of an oppotunity.

Can't see why Bert can't play all three myself Tevez sometimes likes to come into midfield so let him. Nasri is good in a more defensive role so for me against Ajax

Yaya...........Barry..........Nasri

Aguero........Dzeko.........Tevez.

Or is that asking for it?

Without doubt. Unfortunately for Dzeko, he IS a SUPER sub. He does have the odd great game when he plays for 90 mins but he's not as good as Aguero or Tevez. That said - he has more than played his part and was instrumental in helping us win the league. I'd like him to stay but, like Mario, Milner and many others, he isn't guaranteed a start.....but he will win trophies
