United have less competition in midfield (their weak spot) though. Unless we tell Thiago we clearing some faces out he'd have a lot more competition.

Barcelona midfielder Thiago (22) will analyze all the offers he's been receiving. Man City and Man United have shown the most interest. [md]

we`ve both offered the buy-out clause understandably. hopefully this gets done as hes already a fantastic player with the potential to get even better with regular playing time in the premier league.

If it's down to the red plague and us, I honestly don't see how he could have a problem with that choice. Working with Davuid Moyes, or working with Pellegrini. Coming to a squad who already has Txiki and Ferran, Silva, Navas and possibly Isco. He'll make at least as much money here and will be able to hold his head with great pride and uncontaminated self-respect.

Could you imagine:

-----------Aguero-----------
Isco--------silva---------Navas
-----thiago--------toure

Ok maybe a little too attacking but amazing.

The back 4 would need a pay rise :)

We don't need a back 4 with that :)

by rights with that line up the opposition should never see the ball long enough to worry the back 4 lol.

that's what I was thinking. Who would be cleared out? Barry might take a lesser role considering his age. Milner and Rodwell are needed to satisfy FA squad requirements. Also it's clear that Khaldoon likes Jack a lot. Yaya Toure isn't going anywhere. Who does that leave? Sinclair and Garcia.

And Nasri

Indeed, but I would consider Thiago to be more a threat to Garcia than Nasri. Also I don't think we'll get rid of Sinclair unless City bring in another english player. If Lescott goes as well, that's 2 more english players to bring in.

From what i've seen, City haven't been linked with any english players.

Alcantara is not type of midfielder they need though. They need someone who can put defensive shift, they're quite good up front anyway but there's nobody out there to protect their defense when they lose the ball.
