Pending confirmation - which, to my understanding, is pretty much a formality at this point.

It will be interesting to follow Henry's progress at Bordeaux, and his managerial career in general.

Good place to start.

I would say only just.

Fair enough.

It’s all about opinions and I respect yours.

Even when asking the question, I wasn’t sure whether I’d put Kun ahead of Henry myself. There is no question that both are among the best we’ve ever seen in this country and there are very few, if any, better than either of them.

Both players have/were been wonderful for the PL and certainly 2 of the best in the world.Virtually nothing between them and it will be nice to see how Henry plays this out with the methods he will use ... similar to Pep ? He needs the players first.
I think he`ll do very well in all honesty and maybe its a good stepping stone to come back to the PL,assuming he impress`s with his first venture.

Me. But then I've got an armful of Irish, but only an armful. He cheated the game as well as the Irish! I hope that Bordeaux play a game this season where some opposition player punches the ball in!
In the 1970`s I was at White Hart Lane and West Ham and saw Franny Lee do the identical thing mate ... punch the ball in ... and the goals stood.

That's another team on the list with rags, dippers etc. Hope they go down and his cock rots off. ****.

I think it's a really difficult comparison - apart from both being brilliant, they are complete polar opposites in attributes, style and physiques

I don't know anyone who hates him who's not Irish.
Got family over there as my dad is irish and I had just got back before that game (I watched the 1st leg over there). My overiding feeling is that it was so unnecessary (for him) as I believe he was loved by pretty much everyone until this point.

Really soured it for me after that, not the same man after that - potentially my own fault for holding him in such high esteem.

Still without doubt and unbelievable player.... .

I've always had summat in me eye when a City player 'might' have done it, but I do remember watching a reserve derby at Maine Road when Alex Dawson jumped up, swung his arm in a great loop and curved the ball over, I think, Steve Fleet. Cheating bastard! We had a ref that day who was the only one on the ground who 'didn't see it'! An honest mistake, again!

I always had every bit as much sympathy for the Irish as they had for us over Maradona's handball...

On Henry's new gig, it occurred to me that it doesn't seem that forwards are managers quite so often. This could totally be my imagination though.
