My 60 year old sister who's had cancer 3 times, got low white blood cell count, low immune system and got early signs of dementia being told week after her 60th birthday (in March 2023) that she's deemed fit for work and had to start proving she was applying for jobs. To me that's not fair

Sorry to hear that about your sister.

Make sure she appeals if she cans.

Get her to exaggerate the mental health side, it's much harder to "assess" and and they'll need specialist mental health assessors rather than the uncaring former nurses.

It's good way to get them to back off.

As long as she is applying to jobs, there's no way they can force her to make applications that will be successful anyway.I'd put some put some red flags in the personal statements.

Best of luck and hope she doesn't end up having to deal with the creepy people at Seetec.

Thanks mate, we've been to her local councillor, MP, and her GP. At minute she's getting a sick line from GP every 2 weeks. We attended an appointment at hospital few weeks ago were she did memory test and they said in room not fit for work so waiting on official results from that.

I got through it. So will she. Treatment is getting better all the time.

No shame in that mate.
Thirty years ago we were told my two year old was dying, nothing to be done.
I was a total wreck.
Thanks to her mother’s determination to leave no stone unturned my daughter is now a successful solicitor.
