Lake Maggiore. Italy. Arrived early evening, thick mist, nothing to see. In the morning went for breakfast and wow, a beautiful lake, Isola Bella in front of us. Gobsmacked. Go to Stresa for easy access to the island.

Got to be the Colosseum in Rome absolutely blew me away

Always loved Roman and Greek history and this was on my bucket list, which I managed to do a few years ago, brought a tear to my eye if I’m honest I can feel the history been stood there, I had to explain it to my wife and how it worked back in the day. The other thing on the same trip was the Vatican, the inside of the actual huge chapel itself was unreal. The Cistine chapel I felt underwhelming but maybe that’s because of the amount of tourists at the time it felt rushed.
