something I've notice only today, on my home from Nantwich I was near Jodrell bank and I thought I better give that cyclist a wide birth just incase its that bloke who won 3 golds ,usually I just think wanker.
also I was behind another cyclist and had to stay behind them because of on coming traffic, not to worry tight cycling pants ,firm shapely bottom and long long blond hair lovely jubbly ,as I overtook she only had a long ginger fucking beard, how weirds that hahahahaha.

I'm beginning to wonder what your point is.
You started off saying that 'without the foreign support we would have had empty seats in the stadiums'.
Now you're saying 'sure, there was a demand' but people couldn't buy them.
Make your mind up.
Two points.
1. Without the mainly European supporters flocking to these shores we would have had more empty seats.
2. There was a demand from the British public that far exceeded supply.
Both of the above points are valid. The trouble is when it was realised that a lot of tickets earmarked for foreign distribution were not selling the organising committee were very slow in re-allocating them to people who actually wanted them hence the empty spaces in a lot of early events.
Just to recap...
We had empty seats. Lots of them.

I saw the opening days on French TV - dreadful stuff. Focused on just French athletes and persisted with fencing, handball and only events French were in! And then I returned home and had to suffer the BBC sycophancy with the athletic version of BBC pundits. Gruesome.

Jesus, did you not read the rest of it? I'll try and keep it simple for you seeing as you are from Burnley, demand far outstripped supply. In the beginning. It took the committee a long time to sort out allocation. We had empty seats in the venues. Just like Brazil but for different reasons.

The BBC coverage has been hit and miss. The constant fucking about between channels is a ball ache especially when whatever you are watching has already started.
Think Brasil was on a hiding to nothing. The country,to put it mildly, is in a fucking mess and their President is in potentially deep shit. I have family there and people generally aren't interested in Sports that are unfamiliar or that they can't win. It is also quite expensive to travel within the Country and its a big place. I also think that had they been successful in the World Cup that would have helped the 7-1 scarred them.
I think Team GB have done us proud.

I started watching the mountain biking, then they cut to the rhythmic gymnastics, then the volleyball, now they're showing the boxing. I've not seen anything from start to finish.
