Things that have p**sed you off at the Olympics

I'm an overweight, undershagged, underslept new parent. The last thing I want in the morning is a gaggle of sparkletoothed fuckheads banging on about how much more successful and fitter other people are being paid more than me to live lives I could only dream of. Especially not on my tax money. Thank fuck for the Jeremy Kyle Show.

76% were sold to UK residents. That figure varied from venue to venue however as the cycling had only 40% UK fans watching. Even the 100 metres final had a 50/ 50 split in the fans in the stadium.

You're missing the point. The majority of tickets were sold to UK residents. 100% could have been sold to UK residents if there had been any to buy, such was the demand. The Paralympics were also sold out mainly to UK residents. The stadiums wouldn't have been empty if foreign fans hadn't shown up.

Tickets made available to UK residents sold out in hours, it was madness, you cant really debate that if nobody else came from anywhere, it would have still sold out. My mate phoned my absolutely buzzing for having tickets to the weightlifting, he'd never been to see it before and wasnt a fan so to speak.

But without the foreign support we would have had empty seats in the stadiums. Which was my point. I think we also forget that in the early days of the London Olympics there were a few venues with lots of empty seats even though they had 'sold out'.

Non-stop BBC happy clapping and half of every publically-funded news bulletin crammed with Olympic coverage to bury all the bad shit that goes on every day.
I've hated clicking on the news tab on the BBC site and having to scroll down to actually see any news. There is actually a sports section for the sport I'm sure they must be aware of. If I gave a flying fuck about Hugh Cuntsley-Smugg winning a bronze in the dancing horse contest I would look on the sports section. If I want to know about the latest bombing in Iraq I will expect to click on 'news' and it be right there at the top of the page.

Your point is bollocks. The seats you're referring to were allocated to IOC member countries. These tickets weren't taken up. They were told that they had to return them if they didn't want them or they wouldn't be allocated any other seats for other competitions. These seats were then put on open sale and snapped up by people who wanted them.

See my above post. We had empty seats. Sure the tickets allocated to the UK public, 76%, were snapped up. This didn't fill stadiums though. Take the Olympic Stadium. 80,000 seats, 45000 on sale to the general UK public, 15000 on sale to other countries. 10,000 went to the media and guests and 5500 went to the IOC and other such 'dignitaries'. 4500 odd were deemed unsaleable due to restricted views.

Not all of the other country tickets sold. Not all of the media tickets were used. Same goes for the freebies. Hey presto, empty seats.

Also, every one of those cunts was given 45 free condoms each for the inevitable fuckfest that was the Olympic Village.

And free McDonalds food for every athlete.

See my above post. You're still talking bollocks.

Tickets were in such demand that the organisers even set up a ticket outlet in the Olympic Park so that people who had attended events and wanted to leave before the end could resell the tickets back to someone who wanted to attend the rest of the session.

People even bought 'Park Tickets' at £10 to get into the Olympic Park just to watch the events on the big screen. All those sold out as well.

Have hardly watched it ,just fed up of all the hype
Always thought that the Olympic way was up and coming non professional athletes competing not fully blown professionals who earn millions
