Things they could repeat on TV

I used to love that Flash Gordon as well and remember Harold Lloyd with fondness. I doubt I will ever get to see them again as they were pretty dated back then in the 70s.

Mate, there are a gazillion tv channels out there. TCM, Sony movies, Talking Pictures... ffs, surely one of them would take a punt on the likes of my demographic tuning in!

You'd think so but they never seem to. Must be loads of us looking for a bit of nostalgia.

Wouldn't mind seeing the Banana Splits again too with the Flashing Blade and Arabian Knights amongst others.

I could go for the complete Blackadder set. Hasn't been shown in Canada for quite some time. Our Library used to have it iirc but it's closed.

Talking pictures was showing the odd laurel and hardy short,Sony had the likes of bing crosby and bob hope road to films and the odd Danny Kaye film like the secret like of Walter Mitty ..bar getting them on youtube the likes of Harold Lloyd or Flash Gordon don’t seem to be of interest to the tv stations/broadcasters..

Used to love a bit of Harold Lloyd, in the school hols and on a Friday teatime on BBC2 before Monkey came on at 6.
(In the days before The Tube started on Channel 4, obviously)
Remember Buster Crabbe as Flash Gordon too. Absolutely mustard!
I’ll throw King of the Rocket Men into the mix too.

Tbf about all this stuff, if they did repeat it, I’d probably last about 1 episode! I can still recall being really excited when Starsky & Hutch first got brought back on daytime afternoons. I’d really loved staying up as a kid to watch it after the news at 9.25 on a Friday night back in the day.... but watching the repeats years later I realised how average it all was!!
