This is going to be a bit surreal

3 people ?
Were talking world championship here, a lot of players hanging around with support staff, family members, drivers....big security presence, catering, food deliveries, many technicians for lighting, ups, cameras, sound and other various equipment.
This isn't two blokes meeting in a snooker hall.

Maybe I’m being naive as you point out. But to me lighting could be sorted before anyone else has to be there. It’s a few lights above a snooker table. Sound similar. A few microphones around the table. Jesus you could watch snooker with no sound other than a commentator who doesn’t have to be in the arena. Security? Again. Being naive maybe but how much security would be needed for a snooker game with no fans? And family and support staff? Come on now.

I’m saying if the snooker world want to put on an event they could do. Fair enough the world championship is a push with some of the worlds best coming from China and Australia is a push. But if they are wanted to do a little exhibition for UK players for entertainment purposes that could work

But yeah. Erm. This thread was about the world snooker tournament. So I’m wrong obviously. That’s not possible. Just talking in the main about having some live sport. Erm. I’ll go.

Take care mate

Hahaha and what if a few lights go out mid game, do they call a local electrician who says, yeah I'll be round there about 3....ish
?
Anyway I don't wanna argue about this, I guess we see it very differently.

Yet another instance where money rules over common sense.
What’s the problem? What common sense is being ignored, if there’s no audience?

Will the players and refs be tested?

Seriously....not sure why you think it would be a bad thing, and a welcome respite?

News, cookery shows and others are still going out live with no issues so I don't see the problem.
If there's any issue with the way snooker's put out the ban the lot. Let's have a total blackout (arf) lockdown.
Some people aren't happy when they're fucking miserable.

I’m personally erring on the side of removing lockdown in many respects, as I feel the knock on impacts of what we’re currently doing will start making Covid deaths pale into insignificance, so I have no issue with this, but just to be pedantic isn’t the 2m thing irrelevant if they end up touching the same table numerous times. I thought it stayed on surfaces for hours?

The ref could wipe the table after every shot .
It’s not like he’s rushed off his feet.
They could all bring packed lunches also haha .
