After missing out on tickets when they were on sale for tomorrow and trying to get hold of one, by hook or by crook, and failing miserably, one poster on here who is unable to make the game due to an Icelandic volcanic eruption (you really couldn't make that up!) has bent over backwards to ensure his two tickets didn't go to waste, and has arranged for me to have them. I will be taking my 16 year old nephew to the game, his FIRST City game, tomorrow.

I won't 'out' the man without his say so, but I wanted to convey my deepest gratitudes to this man who doesn't know me from Adam. Non-Blues won't really understand what this means, but I've no doubt that every single one of you reading this will appreciate just how incredible this gesture is.

So, my new friend for life, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Haha! And maybe an offer of marriage!

This is what I love about City.

I can remember being at Oldham away years ago and a lad selling a spare ticket. Can't remember the face value, but he was after charging a fellow Blue a tenner extra for it.

A group of Blues going by heard this, stopped, came back to the seller and one of them said to him "tell you what mate, you can either sell it him at face value, or we can take it off you and give it to him for nowt. It's up to you, but you don't stitch up fellow Blues." Ticket sold for face value, everybody happy!

Come on City! Please don't let me down tomorrow. Still in knots thinking about the game.

Thats blues for you....imagine if it was a rag he would quadruple the price of his ticket and sell it to a tourist.....ENJOY THE CITY VICTORY

before anyone says owt....I was joking about the volcano.:)

Top bloke whoever you are..City will in it for fans like you :)

-- Fri Apr 16, 2010 3:39 pm --
