This Red Card

It would be hillarious if they said to United

"Dear Baconface,

After your letter, we have decided that clubs will recieve special dispensation to have red cards rescinded for the UEFA Champtions League final. However, having looked at the challenge for a second time, we have decided that there was infact sufficient contact in the challenge that Darren Fletcher made on Francesc Fabregas, so the suspension will remain in place. However, you will be pleased to know that after your plea suggesting that players should not wrongfully miss such an occasion, Barcelona's Abidal has had his red card riscinded, so will be allowed to participate in the UEFA Cup Final.

Many Thanks
Michel Platini"

this would be funny!

They shouldn't recind it, just for the fact that rules are rules. We get no give in these rules, and jsut because it the CL, should make no difference.

The only time they changed the rules for us was to ban ben thatcher for longer, even though the ref saw the incident. Doesn't that just show you something. We didn't complain, but as we all know the world revolves around the Whore house in streford.

I think they should recind it, Fletcher is shite, can you imagine him trying to cope with Xavi?!!

I believe 80% of Catalonia has signed the internet petition to have the card rescinded. Mass demonstrations have halted the streets of Barcelona this week as thousands held aloft straw donkeys and banners demanding "Free the Feltcher"

Feel sorry for the lad as he's going to miss out on a runners up medal. But the laws the law (unless it's the Rags it seems...) So why shouldn't the one match ban stand?
