Morning lads/lasses,

Having to come into Manchester this Saturday through Victoria as there is major engineering at Piccadilly,so just needed a bit of a heads up for the boozers to head for and to also catch the Chelsea v Liverpool match.

It's a long while since I been at that end of town coming in on train,so any ideas appreciated,I'll have a look in Sinclairs, and I know there's Crown and Kettle, was gonna try a bite to eat as well around that area (pub) before getting a cab upto ground, not interested in Printworks though !

Cheers

Slightly off topic but Are services still ok for picadilly mate? Coming in from Crewe and just need to know before I book
Well the trains from Crewe to Piccadilly were ok last night, albeit some of them running late and one cancelled. Not heard anything about problems on the route for Saturday's game

As you come off the platforms turn left and head towards the escalators. At the bottom look right and there is a wonderful pub right opposite the taxi ranks by the traffic lights,The Bulls Head.Loads of City fans, great ale, free butties and 50 yards to jump into as taxi afterwards.Usually only costs about £5-7.

I think there's confusion here lads. I read that you're not going to Picc, you're going to Victoria? If so, there a few battle cruisers close to the Crown & Kettle where they have games on TV. Try The Smithfield, good ales in there mate;o)

Think so its just our line from Preston way that's all but I would double check mate
Im on the Preston train as well so ill be in the same boat. Normally pop in the Waldorf so a boozer around Victoria will be required.
