She was born in Mayfair, London, United Kingdom. That makes her British. Why Always Ste said:I just have no pride in that song whatsoever... I mean isn't the Queen German anyway?
i vow to thee is a good shout. I am not religious but I think "the dark satanic mills" in Jerusalem refers to the men, women, and often children that made this country great. Sadly not great for themselves. So it's a toss up for both those tunes. God save the queen however doesn't make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. It's shite. In fact that la la la la la song by the smurfs inspires me more.LoveCity said:^ Jerusalem is very religious too.
"And was the holy lamb of god"
"Among those dark satanic mills"
My choice would be I Vow to Thee, even though it's a tribute to the fallen (but isn't that better than paying homage to the Queen?).

But agree that God Save the Queen/King is a crap anthem.
